Eduardo Yamashiro completed his residency and fellowship training in musculoskeletal radiology at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. He subsequently went to a musculoskeletal fellowship at the University of California San Diego, USA. He then returned to Brazil and took over the leadership of the musculoskeletal section of the Radiology Department at Hospital Santa Luzia and worked as an assistant professor at the University of Brasilia. He later moved to São Paulo where he joined Fleury, Hospital do Coracao and Hospital Sao Camilo, three of the largest and leading healthcare groups in the country. During this period of time he was consistently working together with several athletes from different levels including world class professionals and Olympic medalists, from different sports including soccer, volleyball, judo, tennis and athletics.
