A delegation of senior government and medical officials from Serbia arrived in Qatar on 19th August 2013 for a three day visit to further enhance the partnership and collaboration with Aspetar and Aspire Zone Foundation. Hosted by Aspetar, Qatar’s Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital, the team included Mr. Predrag Perunicic, Serbian Minister of Sport and former handball player for Al Rayyan, Professor Dragan Radovanovic, President of the Medical Commission of the Serbian Olympic Committee, Professor Sanja Mazic, Chief Medical Officer at the Institute of Sports Medicine Belgrade, Mr. Jasminko Pozderac, Director General of the Serbian Institute of Sports and Sports Medicine Belgrade, and Vesna Repic-Cujic, Advisor of the General Director of Serbian Institute of Sports and Sports Medicine. During the visit, the Serbian delegation met with members of Aspetar’s senior management team and enjoyed a comprehensive tour of Aspire Zone Foundation and the Anti-Doping Lab.
