07/10/2010 12:00 AM Aspetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital today held its first in a series of conferences - the “Aspetar Current Concepts”. Open to all current and prospective medical doctors, sports physicians and researchers, the lecture was organized in cooperation with the prestigious Sports Medicine Committee of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine - ISAKOS. The focus of discussion during the one day conference was, The “Athlete’s Knee” - specifically ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) injuries, meniscus, tendinopathy, and other forms of reconstructive surgery. The conference provided a unique opportunity for internationally based sports physicians to exchange knowledge on common pathologies of sports traumatology. The conference was hosted by Aspetar Director General, Dr. Mohammed Al Maad’Heed and Aspetar CEO, Dr. Khalifa Al Kuwari.
