Playing for Crystal Palace Football Club, Guedioura was injured after colliding with West Bromwich Albion’s goalkeeper Boaz Myhill. Despite being carried off the field on a stretcher, Guedioura’s team went on to win the 2nd November match in a 2-0 victory.
The Algerian international player is currently undergoing a rehabilitation program at Aspetar for two weeks and is hoping to make a swift return to the pitch and play with his teammates at Crystal Palace, in addition to participating at the World Cup 2014.

Adlene Guedioura contributed significantly during the playoffs, enabling his national team to qualify for the World Cup for the second time after qualifying for South Africa in 2010.
The Algerian player has praised the services provided by Aspetar on many different occasions and has invited the medical crew from Crystal Palace to visit Aspetar and discover its potential.
Aspetar is the official medical provider for the Algerian National Football team as both parties recently renewed an agreement. The agreement has seen Aspetar provide top medical services to the Algerian team during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. A specialised medical crew, headed by Doctor Hakim Chalabi, Acting Chief Medical Officer of Aspetar and Executive Director of National Sports programme, accompanied the team throughout the World Cup. Aspetar also provided support to the Algerian team during playoffs for the 2014 World Cup that will take place in Brazil.
Since 2010, the agreement has been renewed yearly, which includes full medical services to the Algerian National Football Team and intensive and comprehensive screening for all players.
Many other Algerian footballers have been treated at Aspetar since 2010 including Madjid Bougherra, Nadir Belhaj, Hameur Bouazza, Mourad Meghni, Said Belkalam and Hassan Yebda. In April this year, Mr Yebda participated in a rehabilitation program at Aspetar for 3 weeks after sustaining a knee injury. Since then, he has returned to the pitch, scoring repeatedly for his Spanish club Grenada, in addition to reserving a place at the Algerian National Football Team in order to participate in the coming World Cup.
