Brazilian football star and Paris Saint-Germain player, Neymar da Silva Santos Jr. arrived in Doha early on Friday morning and underwent successful surgery at Aspetar, the world's leading orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital during the afternoon.

The surgery at Aspetar was supervised by a highly qualified team of surgeons, including Dr. Pieter D'Hooghe, Aspetar Chief Medical Officer, renowned ankle surgeon Pierre James Calder, from Fortius Clinic London, and Brazilian surgeon and national team doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar. 

The ankle surgery was successful, and will spare the player the risk of suffering from a recurrence of the injury.

Neymar will now undergo a period of rest and recovery from the operation.
