Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced Aspetar Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Hospital as the Premier Partner of the 8th AFC Medical Conference, which will be held from July 21 to 25, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
First launched in 1995 in Tokyo, the AFC Medical Conference serves as a vital platform for knowledge exchange among medical professionals, researchers, and football stakeholders.
Aspetar, a FIFA and AFC Medical Centre of Excellence, is a global leader in sports medicine and science, and has remained a long-standing supporter of the Confederation, having collaborated on several landmark medical projects for more than 15 years.
The latest iteration of the conference will see as many as 20 experts from the Doha-based institution sharing insights into the latest research, clinical innovations, and best practices in athlete health and performance, underscoring its commitment to advancing sports medicine and athlete care across Asia.

The Conference will also explore emerging areas such as genomics and women’s football, alongside practical workshops in emergency medicine, physiotherapy, anti-doping, ultrasound-guided injection techniques, and sports cardiology.
In addition, Aspetar will host an exhibition booth to showcase its journey and achievements, providing an interactive platform for engagement with pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
