The Aspetar International Rehabilitation Conference, organized by Aspetar Hospitalin Khalifa staduim, concluded today after two days of discussions focused on key issues related to hip injuries. The conference was a resounding success, with the number of participants doubling compared to the inaugural edition held last year.
During the closing ceremonies, Aspetar announced plans to organize a comprehensive sports medicine conference next year, positioning it as one of the largest sports medicine conferences in the world, covering multiple medical specialties.
Dr. Abdulaziz Jaham Al-Kuwari, CEO of Aspetar, expressed his delight at the conference's success, emphasizing that this event reflects the strong partnership between Aspetar and the international sports medicine community. He added, "We are pleased to announce the organization of a new international sports medicine conference next year, where we will host elite global experts to exchange experiences and knowledge, contributing to the development of this field on a global scale."
The conference saw record participation, exceeding 700 expert participants from more than 90 countries, reflecting the global interest in this event. Over two days, experts extensively discussed key issues related to hip injuries, including causes, proper diagnosis, treatment methods, recovery, and return to competition.
The conference concluded with several important recommendations, most notably the consensus among experts on treatment protocols for hip injuries, based on scientific studies and discussions held during the two days.
Many participating experts praised the quality of the issues presented at the conference, which addressed the latest challenges in sports medicine. Participants also emphasized Aspetar's leading role in guiding this field globally, commending the Qatari hospital's global excellence in sports rehabilitation, sports medicine, and research.
This conference marks an important step in strengthening Aspetar's position as a leading global center in sports medicine and reaffirms Qatar's commitment to developing this vital field and exchanging expertise with the international community.
