Tom Jackson is currently serving as one of the Performance Nutritionists within the Football Department at Aspire Academy. He joined Aspire in 2023 and has recently completed his first year with the team.
Before joining Aspire, Tom worked as the Academy and Women’s First Team Nutritionist at Leicester City FC. He also held the role of Junior Nutritionist with the Aston Villa First Team. He holds an MSc in Sport Nutrition from Liverpool John Moores University (2021), which laid the foundation for his career in elite sport.
Tom is passionate about working with youth athletes, recognising the critical role nutrition plays in their development as they progress through the academy system. He values the unique challenges and rewarding outcomes that come with this work. At Aspire, Tom has embraced the opportunity to support athletes from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, bringing new perspectives compared to his previous work with players in the UK.
With Qatar set to host the next five U17 World Cups, Tom is looking forward to contributing to a youth national team—an exciting opportunity that will further support his growth as a practitioner.
