Professor Abdulaziz Zamil Alomar is a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopy and sports medicine. He serves as Professor of Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Surgery at the College of Medicine, King Saud University, and as a Consultant Arthroscopy & Sports Medicine Surgeon at King Khalid University Hospital.
He currently leads several key roles, including Head of the Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Scientific Committee at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, Head of the Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Division at King Saud University Medical City, and Director of the Arthroscopic and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at King Saud University.
Professor Alomar earned his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) in Orthopaedic Surgery from McGill University, Canada, followed by advanced fellowships in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. He also holds a Master’s degree in Medical Education from the University of Toronto, Canada.
A respected leader in his field, he is the Past President of the Saudi Orthopaedic Association (2016–2019) and has contributed extensively to orthopaedic education, curriculum development, and national licensing examinations.
