Aspetar Anaesthesia Symposium-TIVA, TCI & Cortical EEG: A Clinical Update for Anaesthesia Practitioners
24-25 April 2026
It’s not only “geeks and nerds" who have seen the light!
TIVA TCI is now the default choice for many anaesthesiology sub-specialties. Whether it’s the carbon footprint and environmental impact or the controversies of cancer and non-cancer outcomes across all ages’ co-morbidities and patient sub-populations, ASPETAR, widely recognised as an international hub for sports injuries intervention, presents a golden opportunity to embrace established as well as emerging alternative TCI models.
Learn hands on, face-to-face (or remotely) from established leaders in the field with a rich scientific programme acknowledging the rightful place of interpreting the EEG signal in benchmark clinical practice. We will cover a wide range of topics including modern TCI algorithms, cortical EEG signals, pharmacology, physiology, clinical audit, impact of AI on patient outcomes, and much more. Five workshops offered on day 1 will present an opportunity to interact with the local and international experts in the field and engage in meaningful discussions.
At the event, tailored to accommodate the inexperienced novice as well as those more clinically experienced itching to pick the brains of experts, ASPETAR welcomes one and all!

- Utilise raw and processed cortical EEG signals to tailor GA to individual patients’ requirements
- Discuss applied pharmacology and physiology of a heterogenous patient population
- Measure progress via local clinical audit of minimum safety standards
- Discuss the current clinical controversies in emergency anaesthetic practice
- Assess the impact of artificial intelligence, human behaviour, and factors in the quality of patient outcomes
This activity is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Category 1) as defined by the Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Healthcare Professions-Accreditation Section and is approved for a maximum of 10.50 hours.
