    Aspetar, in partnership with Qatar University, is offering a symposium:  ‘Contemporary Prevention and Management of Dental Trauma in Sports Dentistry’ on Thursday, 31st October, 2024 as well as the workshop ‘Aesthetic Restorations in Young Athletes’ on Wednesday, 30th October, 2024.

    Symposium participants will have the opportunity to attend sessions on sport-dentistry and learn the value of dental screening for athletes, epidemiology of oral injury, and their relation to body injuries. In addition, they will acquire skills on prevention and management measures for dental injuries and be able to explain the factors that might optimise the success of dental implants after trauma. The audience will also learn how stomatognathic system’s pathologies can influence other functions of the body, such as a musculoskeletal system. The esteemed experts will unravel biomechanical characteristics and properties of a performant mouthguard and identify the role of interdisciplinary management in the successful management of complex dental injuries.

    Workshop participants will have the chance to explore common dental issues in young athletes and develop suitable treatment plans using modern aesthetic restorative techniques. The hands-on portion of the workshop will enable participants to practice restoring anterior and posterior primary teeth with aesthetic zirconia and BioFlx crowns.

    Cancellations and Refunds

    • Name changes or substitutions after the completion of registration are not permitted.

    • For a full refund of the registration fee, the cancellation request must be received by 10th October,2024 at 4 pm Doha time (GMT + 03:00). No refund will be offered for cancellation requests thereafter.
    • We will attempt to process the refund within 30 days of receiving any cancellation request.
    • Aspetar Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Hospital reserves the right to cancel the activity. In the event of a cancellation, registration fees will be returned, but Aspetar will not be responsible for any other expenses including restricted or non-refundable airfares or hotel deposits.
