Doha, Qatar – 9th October, 2024 – Aspetar, Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital, is proud to announce the awarding of the FIMS Aspetar International Young Investigators Award (YIA) during the upcoming 38th FIMS Congress in Dubai. This prestigious award recognizes and celebrates the exceptional contributions of young researchers in the field of sports medicine.
Aspetar will honor four outstanding young investigators for their best poster and oral presentations, encouraging the dissemination of innovative research to a global audience. The awardees will receive a certificate of excellence, a prize, and an opportunity to present their research during a dedicated session at the FIMS Congress.

Since establishing a formal partnership with FIMS in 2016, Aspetar has contributed to the ongoing success of the FIMS World Congress of Sports Medicine through keynote lectures, symposia and workshops on various sports medicine and science topics.
Dr. Omar Al Sayrafi will be one of the panellists discussing the future of sports medicine and science in the GCC. Dr. Marco Cardinal will be a key speaker, addressing the topic of protecting young athletes, performance progression, and injury prevention.
The participation of Aspetar speakers demonstrates the hospital's experience and leadership in the field of rehabilitation. Dr. Rod Whiteley will present Aspetar's clinical approach to rehabilitation and return to sports after Hamstring injury, based on the management of 450 athletes at the hospital.
The FIMS Congress, taking place from October 24th -27th, 2024, brings together leading experts and practitioners from around the world to discuss the latest advancements in sports medicine and science.
