Aspetar, Qatar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital has signed an agreement with Qatar Tennis Federation to offer sports medicine coverage to the international tennis players participating in Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2011 taking place at Khalifa Tennis Complex from January 3 – 8, 2011.
As the sports medicine services provider for the event, Aspetar will coordinate sports medicine services to all athletes participating in this ATP World Tour 250 Series Event through the National Sports Medicine Programme. Aspetar will also be one of the main sponsors of the event for the first time this year.
Mr. Karim Al Alami, the Tournament Director said: “The annual Qatar ExxonMobil Open features the biggest names in the tennis world. Having Aspetar as the sports medicine provider for the event gives us great assurance that all players will be in safe hands, as Aspetar has state of the art facilities and world renowned doctors assigned to care for the players’ health.”
This tournament is held in Qatar every year since 1993 with the participation of the top-seeded tennis players from around the world, and this is the third consecutive year that Aspetar is offering sports medicine services to the players.

Aspetar, through the National Sports Medicine Programme, has been working over the past 4 years in partnership with the Qatar Olympic Committee, Sporting Clubs and National Federations in developing the infrastructure and sports medicine support to Qatari athletes, thereby providing them with world-class sports medicine services.
