Aspetar’s Sports Surgery Training Centre (SSTC) is the first of its kind in the region, creating a state-of-the-art centre where sports surgeons share their skills, experience and knowledge.
The SSTC provides a unique opportunity to refine and teach surgical techniques—knowledge and skills that ultimately benefit athlete-patient care and outcomes.
The state-of-the-art STCC facilities, including up to 10 fully equipped surgical stations, ultra-modern arthroscopic towers, and a biometric security system allows real time surgical training including live surgery simulations, cadaveric workshops in the wet lab, sawbones in the dry lab, video demonstrations, and anatomical education.
A built-in sound system, LED lighting, audio and visual links, wi-fi access, and live streaming capabilities support vibrant lectures and interactive workshops and debates.
Aspetar, in collaboration with international partners including the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS) and the European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA), has successfully organised many world-class Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Master Classes.
