Off-field Conditioning

Maintaining strength and metabolic fitness while injured

Injury does not mean inactivity. Off-field conditioning is an essential but often overlooked part of recovery. Each program is adapted to the athlete's condition, stage of rehabilitation, and goals. The aim is to preserve cardiovascular and metabolic fitness while maintaining strength and power in non-injured limbs. At Aspetar, we focus on what athletes can do. Athletes begin off-field conditioning immediately to prevent a decline in physical fitness caused by reduced activity.

How we work

At Aspetar we know how hard it is to stay motivated while injured. That’s why every session is designed to be effective, engaging, and mentally stimulating. We focus on making the work count without wasting time by creating an atmosphere that is positive, with a strong sense of team and fun to keep athletes connected and motivated throughout.

All training is supervised by highly qualified and experienced physical coaches. Every athlete is assessed before starting. Progress is monitored continuously through each stage. Many return to sport with better overall metabolic fitness than before the injury.

Consistent communication across teams:

Our coaches coordinate daily with the physiotherapy team. This ensures that rehab and conditioning progress together, from the first day to the final return-to-sport phase.

Most importantly, we coordinate with your team or club at the start to align training plans, and we provide a full summary of the work done and results achieved when you leave Aspetar.
